Possibility of rain in many districts of Uttarakhand, beware of lightning too

The weather is playing hide and seek in Uttarakhand. While there is sunshine and shade in the mountains, people are suffering from heat in the plains. Talking about today, it may rain in many districts. Apart from this, a warning has also been issued regarding lightning.

According to the Uttarakhand Meteorological Department, today i.e. on May 26, light to moderate rain with thunder may occur at some places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Almora, Nainital and Champawat districts. Whereas, very light to light showers may occur at some places in Dehradun, Tehri and Pauri districts. Thunder will also be heard during this time. The weather will remain dry in the rest of the districts. Surface and gusty winds are likely to blow in the plains during the afternoon.

Yellow alert issued regarding lightning

If we talk about warnings, there may be heavy showers with lightning at some places in the mountainous areas of Kumaon region. Apart from this, gusty winds will also blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. More or less the same situation will prevail in the mountainous areas of Garhwal. In such a situation, a Yellow Alert has been issued in view of the weather.
