Uttarakhand: CM Dhami reviewed various arrangements in Chardham Yatra, Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, Kainchidham and Purnagiri

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday reviewed various arrangements in Chardham Yatra, Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, Kainchi Dham and Purnagiri at the Secretariat. The Chief Minister said that the number of devotees in the Chardham Yatra will increase rapidly every year. He said that apart from the carrying capacity of the four Dhams, it is also necessary to assess the carrying capacity of devotees and vehicles at other places on the travel route. The Chief Minister directed that proposals related to parking and basic necessities at the Chardham Yatra routes and important places of pilgrimage and tourism in the state should be sent to the Housing Department. A special plan should be made for every year during the peak period of Chardham Yatra. He said that before the start of Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail service, work should be done with a complete action plan to provide parking and other basic facilities on the railway routes and in Karnaprayag and its surrounding areas.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the smooth running of the Chardham Yatra. He directed the officials of the government and administration to keep the Chardham Yatra well organized with the same dedication. The Chief Minister said that offline registration should be kept closed till May 31. He said that further decision will be taken on offline registration as per the Yatra. The Chief Minister directed the Garhwal and Kumaon Commissioners to work on the route divert plan for the convenience of the devotees in the Chardham Yatra.

The Chief Minister said that the number of devotees is also increasing rapidly in Kainchi Dham and Purnagiri. He directed the officials to keep adequate parking arrangements along with basic facilities in Kainchi Dham. Adequate parking should also be arranged on the routes leading to Kainchi Dham. Shuttle bus service should be started for Kainchi Dham. A bypass is also proposed for Kainchi Dham. The Chief Minister gave instructions to improve the arrangements keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees in Purnagiri. The Chief Minister said that the work should be expedited under the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission. In view of the convenience of the devotees, work should be done rapidly on infrastructure and connectivity as well as basic facilities. He said that work should be done to expand home stay and other facilities in Ranikhet and Chaukhutia area to further strengthen the connectivity of Garhwal and Kumaon and to connect both the divisions with the devotees in terms of tourism and pilgrimage.

A presentation of ‘Yatra Samadhan’ mobile application was also done to make the Char Dham Yatra smooth and better. The main objective of this mobile application is to provide all the facilities to the devotees on a single platform. Through this application, the police station, hospital, parking and other facilities near the four Dhams will be available. Through this mobile application, all the parties related to the Yatra, BKTC, temple administration, hotels, tour operators, transports will be able to connect with each other. The Chief Minister directed the ITDA and Tourism Department to work to improve this mobile application further.
