Uttarakhand: Many houses burnt to ashes in Salra village of Uttarkashi, CM Dhami expressed grief…gave these instructions to the officials

A massive fire broke out in Salra village of Uttarkashi district. Many wooden houses were burnt to ashes in this fire. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over this incident. Also, the concerned officials have been directed to expedite the relief and rescue operations.

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami wrote on his official ‘X’ handle on Monday, May 27, ‘Very sad news has been received about fire in many houses in Salra village of Uttarkashi. The local administration and SDRF teams are engaged in extinguishing the fire. The concerned officials have been directed to expedite the relief and rescue operations.’

This incident of massive fire in Salra village of Uttarkashi is being reported at 11:30 am. According to the news, as soon as the information about the fire in the wooden houses was received, a joint team of fire department, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and administration reached the spot. After a lot of effort, the fire could be controlled.

According to the information received from the ‘X’ handle of Uttarakhand Information Department, as soon as the information about the fire in Salra village of Mori block was received, the fire brigade team from Mori was also sent to the spot. The administration immediately sent medical team, forest department and veterinary team to the spot.

District Magistrate Uttarkashi Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht said that the Air Force has been requested to send helicopters to help in relief and rescue operations. Immediately after the village head Salra gave information in this regard, SDRF, police, revenue team have been sent to the spot.

Not only this, the DM directed the Sub-District Magistrate Purola and Tehsildar Mori to conduct relief and rescue operations expeditiously. Let us tell you that DM Meharban Singh Bisht has sent Sub-District Magistrate Purola Devanand Sharma to Salra village to monitor the relief and rescue operation and help the affected villagers.

It is being told that the fire in Salra village of Uttarkashi has been stopped from spreading. SDRF, fire service, police and revenue department teams have reached the spot and are engaged in the operation to completely extinguish the fire. About 14 to 15 houses are reported to have been damaged by the fire.
