Uttarakhand: Along with the Char Dham Yatra, there will be a permanent system of online registration for devotees visiting all the religious places in the state – CS

Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi has directed the officials related to Chardham Yatra management to take the help of a reputed IT consultancy company to develop a permanent system of foolproof online registration for the devotees visiting all the religious places of the state along with the Chardham Yatra. CS has clarified to the officials associated with travel management that only technology can help the most in the systematic management and permanent solution of Chardham Yatra. She has directed to develop this registration system as soon as possible with the help of this IT consultancy company as well as all the stakeholders associated with Chardham Yatra, including hoteliers, tour operators, people associated with tourism and administrative officials.

Considering the officials working on the field in Chardham Yatra as the most important link in travel management, Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi today herself reached the Yatra Registration Office and Transit Camp in Rishikesh and sought suggestions from all the officials, especially the junior officers working on the field, for the SOP to be made for travel management.

CS Mrs. Radha Raturi said that due to the efficient management of all the officers associated with the Chardham Yatra management, especially the field officers, the Chardham Yatra in the state is being conducted smoothly, systematically and successfully after some challenges in the beginning. Currently, about 3000 devotees are present at the holding points of Rishikesh Haridwar, who are being sent to the Dhams. All the devotees from Chardham are returning safely after the Yatra. All the arrangements are being conducted successfully on the Yatra route and in the Dhams. Therefore, online registration is being restarted from Haridwar.

To deal with the ever increasing number of devotees in future, Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi has directed the District Magistrates of the districts related to the Chardham Yatra to identify new halting places as well as develop parking places there. She said that funds will also be released soon for this. CS has also directed to make a correct assessment of the carrying capacity of vehicles and parking places on the Yatra route soon. He said that it is necessary to strictly follow the rules according to the carrying capacity. Along with this, the CS has also given instructions to strictly follow the trip card system. He has also given instructions to take the cooperation of national tour operators for the successful conduct of Chardham Yatra in future. Along with this, the CS has also given instructions to coordinate and communicate with the District Magistrates and District Administration of those districts of other states of the country from where most of the pilgrims come to Chardham.

Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi reached the Yatra Registration Office and Transit Camp in Rishikesh on Tuesday and inspected the arrangements and held a meeting with the concerned officials. Commissioner Garhwal Vinay Shankar Pandey, District Magistrate Dehradun, Tehri, Senior Superintendent of Police Tehri and officials related to Chardham Yatra were present in the meeting.
