Uttarakhand Forest Department may soon get 8 IFS officers. Actually, the promotion of the officers of the State Forest Service cadre in the state is pending for a long time, in such a situation, the Uttarakhand government is now going to clear the way for the promotion of these officers by completing all the formalities. For this, it is known that the exercise has been started at the government level.

Apart from this, preparations are also underway to start correspondence with UPSC for this. In such a situation, it is believed that if everything goes well, then soon eight State Forest Service cadre officers in the state can be promoted to IFS. However, earlier also the process for promotion was started for this, then UPSC had raised objections about the services of the officers about one and a half months ago. In such a situation, the Uttarakhand government is going to respond to the objection of UPSC. After this, it is believed that all the obstacles regarding promotion will end. These eight waiting officers will be able to become IFS.

In Uttarakhand, two posts of 2020, 07 posts in the year 2021 and 13 posts in 2022 are vacant for promotion from State Forest Service to IFS cadre. In this way, a total of 22 posts are vacant for IFS cadre from the State Forest Service cadre, but only eight of these officers will be able to get promotion to IFS cadre. The reason for this is that to get promoted to IFS cadre, the officers of the State Forest Service cadre should have 8 years of service in (ACF). For which only eight officers are able to fulfill this service condition at present.

The eight officers in Uttarakhand who are going to get promotion as IFS include Anil Tamta, Karuna Nidhi Bharti, Umesh Chandra Tiwari, Naveen Chandra Pant, Prakash Chandra Arya, Rangnath Pandey, Devi Prasad Baluni and Dhruv Singh Martolia.
