A man climbed a 125 feet high mobile tower in Chandigarh, Punjab. After this, he started insisting to meet Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The police, who reached the spot after getting the information, succeeded in getting him down after five hours. Police say that the person who climbed the mobile tower has been brought down with the help of a skylift ladder.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Gurmukh Singh said that at around 8.30 am, information was received that a person has climbed a mobile tower in Sector 17. After this, a fire engine and an ambulance were deployed at the spot. The DSP further said, a man named Vikram, a resident of Jind in Haryana, is embroiled in a land dispute in Mansa district of Punjab.

‘Allegation of no action on complaint‘

He claimed that no action has been taken on his complaint in this matter. The police team repeatedly requested Vikram to come down, but he refused to back down from his demand to meet the Chief Minister to resolve the land dispute. After this, Vikram was talked to on the phone and told that he has spoken to the Special Officer of the Chief Minister of Punjab.

‘Vikram was taken for medical checkup’

His problem will be resolved. He also assured to take Vikram to the Chief Minister’s residence. After this, at around 1:30 pm, Vikram finally heeded the police’s request and agreed to come down. The DSP said that after coming down, Vikram was taken for medical checkup.
