Uttarakhand: A young man was swept away in the Ganga while bathing, SDRF is searching for him, rescue operation is on

A young man who came to Rishikesh from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh drowned in the Ganges while bathing at Pashulok Barrage. On receiving the information, the SDRF team reached the spot and is conducting a rescue operation in search of the young man. But no trace of the young man has been found so far.

Youth swept away in the Ganges while bathing

According to the information received, Pratik Sharma (18), a resident of Saharanpur, was bathing in the barrage at around 2 pm on Sunday afternoon. During this, Pratik suddenly got swept away in the strong current of the Ganges. The people nearby informed the SDRF team about the drowning of the young man.

Rescue operation continues

On receiving the information, the deep diving team of SDRF Dhalwala reached the spot. The SDRF team is conducting a rescue operation in search of the young man. At present, no trace of the young man has been found so far. The police have informed the family of the young man about the incident.
