The havoc of forest fire in Almora is not stopping. After Binsar, now the forest fire has reached the Shishu and Nari Niketan operating in Bakh near the city. As soon as Shishu Niketan was engulfed in flames, there was an atmosphere of panic among the children living there as well as other staff.

On Friday, suddenly the forest fire reached the Shishu and Nari Niketan operating in Bakh near the city. There was panic on the spot after seeing the flames of fire behind the building. Seeing their lives in danger, the staff of the institute including the children ran out of their rooms and ran towards a safe place. In no time, the fierce fire engulfed the institute as well.
Fire department reached the spot
The employees of the institute informed the fire service about the incident. On receiving the information, the fire brigade team immediately reached the spot and started the work of extinguishing the fire. The fire department personnel controlled the fire after hours of hard work. Only then did the children and the institute staff heave a sigh of relief.
