Uttarakhand: Adi Kailash Yatra will remain closed in July and August, Tourism Department gave a big update
The 26th group of Adi Kailash Yatra, operated by Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam, will reach the base camp on Tuesday. The summer yatra will end. Now the corporation will keep the yatra operation closed in July-August. KMVN Tourist Rest House Manager Dinesh Gururani said that this time 26 yatra groups were decided. In which 15 yatra groups went to Adi Kailash via Pithoragarh. In which the last group will reach Pithoragarh on Monday and go to Dharchula on Tuesday. At the same time, 11 groups were decided for Adi Kailash Darshan under Kathgodam Express. Now the corporation-operated yatra will remain closed for two months in July and August during the monsoon season.
Police posts will open on Jyolingkong and Om Parvat route
ADG (Administration) Amit Kumar Sinha inspected the police station building under construction in Gunji near the China border. On this occasion, he assured to solve the problems of the police personnel posted in the police station. He said that in view of the increasing tourism in the area, a proposal to open new police posts on Jyolingkong and Om Parvat road would be sent to the government.
