BJP MP Om Birla elected Speaker of Lok Sabha, will hold the post for the second consecutive time

BJP MP Om Birla has been elected as the new Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Om Birla has been elected Speaker by voice vote. PM Modi and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi took Speaker Om Birla to the chair as per tradition. Let us tell you that Om Birla will take over the responsibility of the post of Lok Sabha Speaker for the second consecutive time. As soon as the Lok Sabha Speaker was elected, Protem Speaker Bhrithari Mahtab has been relieved of the responsibility of Protem Speaker.

Political career of Om Birla

Talking about Om Birla’s political career, he has been winning every election continuously since 2003 till now. In the year 2003, he contested and won the first assembly election from Kota. After this, in 2008, he won the assembly election by defeating Shanti Dhariwal of Congress from Kota South seat. He also won the third assembly election from Kota South in 2013. At the same time, after winning the Lok Sabha election from Kota seat in the year 2014, Om Birla resigned from the assembly seat. Everyone has praised the way he ran the Lok Sabha. Once again, after winning the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2024, Om Birla has become a contender for the post of Lok Sabha Speaker.
