Heavy to very heavy rain warning in Uttarakhand for the next four days, IMD issued alert

The havoc of monsoon is being seen in Uttarakhand. Meteorologists have said that the next one week is very sensitive in terms of rain. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rain for most areas of Uttarakhand.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for these districts
According to Vikram Singh, Director of Meteorological Department, today the red alert of heavy to very heavy rain will continue in some areas of Nainital, Almora, Champawat, Bageshwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Pithoragarh districts of Kumaon division. While a yellow alert of heavy rain has been issued for some areas of the capital Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri and Tehri.
Advice given to take precautions
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in most of the districts of Kumaon division between July 2 and July 5. Due to which the administration has been asked to take precautions. Apart from this, people living in sensitive areas prone to landslides have been appealed to be cautious.
Schools will remain closed in these districts
In view of the heavy rain alert issued by the Meteorological Department after the forecast, a holiday has been declared on Tuesday in schools from first to twelfth standard and Anganwadi centers in Almora, Nainital, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Champawat districts. The District Magistrates of all the districts have also issued orders regarding this.
