Uttarakhand: Pratishthanagar Gram Pradhan suspended for having a third child, these allegations have been made

The village head of Pratitnagar in Dehradun district has been suspended in the three children case. Gram Pradhan Pratitnagar has been found guilty in the three children case. Along with this, he could not answer the questions asked to him during the investigation properly. His answers were not satisfactory.

Pratitnagar Gram Pradhan suspended in three children case

According to the information received, Babita Kamal Kumar, a resident of Pratitnagar, had complained in this matter to the State Election Commission, Secretary Panchayati Raj and District Magistrate on 11 April 2023. In which it was said that Gram Pradhan Pratitnagar Anil Kumar Piwal has three children. He had submitted a false affidavit before the Election Commission in the Panchayat elections held in the year 2019. Along with this, he is accused that Anil Kumar had two children during the elections. Whereas he had mentioned having only one child in the affidavit.

Third child after becoming Pradhan

Anil Kumar Piwal had a third child on 10 March 2022 after being elected as the village head. Whereas according to the Uttarakhand Panchayat Raj rules, no person can hold the post of village head after having a third child. After this complaint, a team was formed for investigation under the leadership of the Panchayat Raj Officer and the matter was investigated. The investigation has been completed and according to the investigation report, the village head has been found guilty prima facie. After which this action has been taken against him.
