Uttarakhand: Police tightened its belt for Kanwar Yatra, SHO held a meeting, gave these instructions

Kanwar Yatra is going to start on 22nd July. Uttarkashi Police has started finalizing its preparations for the Yatra. On Wednesday, SHO Dharasu held a meeting with subordinates and gave necessary guidelines.

Police geared up for Kanwar Yatra

Dharasu’s Inspector-in-charge Dinesh Kumar held a meeting of all the policemen posted at Dharasu police station. In the meeting, he made everyone aware of the orders and instructions given by the Superintendent of Police Uttarkashi for the safe conduct of Kanwar Yatra and gave other important instructions related to duty.

These guidelines were given to the policemen

  • During the Kanwar Yatra, instructions were given to perform duty with mutual coordination while taking extra caution at Nazar Nagun Barrier, Dharasu Band and Syasu.
  • In view of safety on the hilly route, instructions were given to make Kanwariyas aware about not allowing them to sit on the roof of vehicles and not using loudspeakers and playing loudspeakers at low volume.
  • In case of road blockage and other emergency situations, instructions were given to stop the Kanwadis at a safe place.
  • Instructions were given to check the Bhandaara sites in the police station area from time to time and keep the CCTV cameras and other security measures in working condition.
  • While giving necessary duty related guidelines to the recruit constables undergoing practical training, instructions were given to behave politely with the Kanwadis as well as help them in every possible way.
