Madhya Pradesh: Fearing murder, family members pulled out the half-burnt body of a woman from the burning pyre, police engaged in investigation

A woman died in suspicious circumstances in Tandi Khurd village, about 10 km from the district headquarters. On receiving the information of the death, the woman’s family informed the police and also reached the spot themselves. The last rites of the woman were being performed till they reached. Meanwhile, the police team and the family members took the body out of the burning pyre. The woman’s family has suspected murder in the case. After this incident, Kalipeeth police has registered a case and started further investigation. The post-mortem of the remains of the woman’s body will be done in the district hospital.

Family reached Muktidham as soon as the information was received

Father Ramprasad Tanwar and brother Vishnu Tanwar of the deceased woman Reena Bai (23) said that at around 2 pm on Monday, they got information about Reena Bai’s death through a villager. Reena Bai had gone to her in-laws’ house Tandi Khurd from her parental home Laxman Pura three days ago. There was no such thing till then. In such a situation, when they got information about the death, they could not understand anything. All the family members immediately reached Tandikhurd and first went to the daughter’s in-laws’ place with the Kalipeeth police, but when they did not find anyone there, they reached Muktidham. Here Reena Bai’s pyre was burning, but here too no one was present on the spot. In such a situation, the pyre was extinguished in a hurry and the remains of the body were taken out from it and first brought to Kalipeeth police station and then from there to the district hospital. The family members have also said that the hands and feet of the body were cut off.

The woman was three months pregnant

It is being told that the deceased Reena Bai was married to Mithun Tanwar, a resident of Tandikhurd, about four years ago. Three years ago, her gauna ceremony was also done. Just five days ago, she had come to her parental home and then three days ago she returned to her in-laws’ house. Reena Bai also has a one and a half year old daughter. Apart from this, she was also about three months pregnant at present. The deceased’s father said that Reena’s in-laws had bought some land. For which they were demanding one and a half lakh rupees. For this reason, they have expressed the possibility of Reena Bai’s murder. At present, the police is busy investigating all the cases.
