Allahabad High Court: High Court issued arrest warrant to DM Banda, court angry over non-compliance of order

The Allahabad High Court had ordered to give the benefit of salary hike on July 1 to the employee who retired on June 30. For not complying with this, the High Court has issued an arrest warrant against DM Banda. The court has said that deposit Rs 20,000 before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Banda and give an affidavit that he will appear before the court on July 25, 2024 at 2 pm. Justice JJ Munir has given this order on the petition of Ramesh Kumar Srivastava and 16 others.

Banda resident Ramesh Kumar Srivastava and 16 others retired on June 30 in different years between 2012 and 2023. All received salary hike from July 1 to June 30 of the retirement year. At the same time, the department concerned refused to give the salary hike on July 1 on the ground that they were not in service on the date when the salary hike took place.
