Uttarakhand: Kanwariyas created a ruckus in Roorkee, vandalized e-rickshaw and truck in front of police, DGP gave instructions to take action

The ruckus of Kanwariyas was seen in Roorkee of Haridwar. Where Kanwariyas beat up an e-rickshaw driver fiercely. Not only this, they also vandalized the e-rickshaw. During this, the policemen also kept explaining to the Kanwariyas, but they did not listen to the policemen and continued to vandalize the e-rickshaw. At the same time, the injured e-rickshaw driver has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

According to the information, the incident took place on the Libbarheri canal track of Mangalore Kotwali area. It is being told that an e-rickshaw driver was coming with his rickshaw. During this time the e-rickshaw collided with a Kanwariya. The Kanwariya suffered minor injuries due to the collision. After which the Kanwariyas first beat up the e-rickshaw driver fiercely, then vandalized the e-rickshaw by raining sticks. During this, a huge crowd gathered at the spot.

At the same time, the Kanwariyas continued the vandalism even in front of the policemen who arrived on information. However, the helpless policemen tried a lot to stop the Kanwariyas, but they did not listen to the police. The situation was such that the angry Kanwariyas did not stop even after being stopped. On the other hand, the injured Kanwariya and the injured e-rickshaw driver have been admitted to the hospital.

It is being told that the angry Kanwariyas started vandalizing the truck driver by beating him. Not only this, the Kanwariyas also created a ruckus on the road. Eyewitnesses present on the spot told that the Kanwariyas fled from the spot after seeing the police vehicle coming from behind.

DGP gave instructions for action

Lakhs of devotees are reaching the ongoing Kanwar fair in Uttarakhand every day, but some of them are creating a ruckus and disrupting the journey. Some Kanwariyas vandalized an e-rickshaw in Mangalore of Haridwar district. Uttarakhand DGP Abhinav Kumar took cognizance of all such incidents and considering the seriousness of these cases, guidelines were issued to the police.

In the instructions issued by the Uttarakhand Police Headquarters, it has been said that if any Shiva devotee creates such a ruckus, then strict action will be taken against him. Uttarakhand DGP Abhinav Kumar said that Uttarakhand is a peace loving state. If some people create disturbance here in the name of faith, then strict action will be taken against them.
