Cooperative Minister Dhan Singh Rawat held a review meeting with departmental officials to strengthen the village level cooperative institutions of the state as well as to be able to meet the needs of local farmers. During the meeting, Minister Rawat directed all the top cooperative institutions to speed up their village level works and complete the ongoing schemes on time. There will be provision of government shares in cooperative banks

At the same time, Minister Dhan Singh Rawat directed that provision of state government shares will be made in cooperative banks. The Managing Director in the State Cooperative Bank will be a professional MD. Along with this, instructions were also given to place the rules of the MPAX secretaries in the cabinet.

Profit of cooperative banks reached Rs 115 crore

During the meeting, transfer policy in cooperative banks was also reviewed. He inquired about the work being done regarding net banking. At the same time, the MD of the State Cooperative Bank told that last year the profit of cooperative banks was Rs 66 crore. Whereas, this year the profit has been Rs 115 crore.

Farmers will go on a tour of 5 states

52 progressive farmers of Uttarakhand were taken on a tour of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh last year. Where their study was satisfactory. At the same time, Minister Rawat directed the MD of PCU to prepare a framework for a study tour of five states Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Andaman Nicobar, Maharashtra, Kerala this year. Top officials should be included along with farmers in this tour.

At the same time, MD of Silk Cooperative Federation Anand Shukla said that 6,500 women of Uttarakhand are directly and indirectly involved. The demand for silk clothes manufactured by the Federation is continuously increasing. Poultry farming is also a beneficial scheme of the State Integrated Cooperative Development Project. A large number of farmers are also joining this.
