Uttarakhand: CM Dhami takes big action against Chief Engineer RP Singh, orders issued to return to original department after complaints
There have been orders to remove Chief Engineer RP Singh in the Rural Road Development Agency. This big action has been taken after the displeasure of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The special thing is that on a holiday, an order has been issued to relieve RP Singh from his responsibilities by opening the office in the secretariat. This is the same RP Singh, during whose tenure, cases of displeasure of public representatives including complaints of corruption in the agency have come to the fore.
Chief Engineer RP Singh in the Rural Road Development Agency under the Rural Development Department will now have to go back to the Irrigation Department. The big thing is that Chief Engineer RP Singh was continuously looking after the responsibility in the Rural Road Development Agency for the last several years. Even after several letters were written by the parent department regarding his return, he was still in the agency without NOC. It is reported that many complaints related to corruption were being received about Chief Engineer RP Singh, who was in the news. Taking these seriously, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took a tough decision and ordered the officers to remove him. The result of this was that the office opened in the secretariat on a holiday. Chief Engineer RP Singh was removed from his post and an order was issued to go to his parent department.
Chief Engineer RP Singh’s name has been associated with controversies in the state. He has been accused of corruption many times. During his tenure, complaints of irregularities in various tenders have also come to the fore. The big thing is that RP Singh is one of those officers whose name also dominated the proceedings of the Assembly. There was a lot of uproar in the Assembly regarding his working style. Despite all the complaints of corruption and uproar by MLAs against him in the Assembly, he could not be removed.
The controversies about Chief Engineer RP Singh do not end here, RP Singh, originally an officer of the Irrigation Department, was working in the agency of the Rural Development Department on deputation without NOC.
