FIR against 300 people in Maharashtra, 40 people arrested, case of sexual abuse of two kindergarten girls
There is an uproar after the incident of sexual harassment of two kindergarten girls in Badlapur, Maharashtra. People have become angry and have also blocked the railway track. The school was vandalized after which the police lathi-charged. Internet was also shut down there. The police has registered an FIR against 300 people protesting in this entire matter. The police has also arrested 40 people. Thane Police informed in the report that the arrested people will be presented in the court today.
However, regarding the incident, DCP Manoj Patil of Central Railway GRP said that the situation is normal. Railway movement is also normal. Now no section has been imposed. Internet service will remain suspended for a few days, so that rumors do not spread.
Sexual harassment of two kindergarten girls
Let us tell you that on August 13, two kindergarten girls were sexually harassed in the school toilet. The incident came to light when a girl informed her parents about the incident on August 16. Accused Shinde was arrested on August 17.
Allegations of the parents of the victim girls
The parents of the victim girls alleged that the police registered their complaint 12 hours later. According to sources, the police found in the investigation that the CCTV installed in the school was not working. The parents also expressed concern over why a female employee was not appointed to clean the girls’ toilet. The victim’s family went to the school and waited for three hours before the police arrived to take statements from the girls. The school management suspended the principal, a class teacher and a female attendant for the incident. The accused cleaning worker Akshay Shinde was appointed on contract basis on August 1.
Formation of a Special Investigation Team Committee
Three police officers, including a senior police inspector, were ordered to be suspended for alleged negligence in investigating the case. A Special Investigation Team committee has been formed to investigate the matter.
