Uttarakhand: The Governor reached Hemkund Sahib a day before the closure of the gates, prayed for the prosperity of the state
The gates of Hemkund Sahib are closing for devotees on 10 October. A day before the gates are closed, the Governor of Uttarakhand reached Hemkund Sahib and bowed his head. During this, the Governor prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state. The Governor praised the infrastructure development work done in Hemkund for the convenience of pilgrims.
Governor reached Hemkund Sahib
Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (retd) reached the holy pilgrimage site Hemkund Sahib in Chamoli on Wednesday. He bowed his head in the Gurudwara and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state. On the arrival of the Governor, Hemkund Sahib Management Trust Chairman Narendrajit Singh Bindra, Gurudwara Manager Seva Singh and District Administration officials welcomed the Governor. During this, the Governor talked to the members of the Gurudwara Management Committee and wished all the devotees who reached Hemkund.
It is a privilege to have the darshan of the Guru
The Governor said that the true king Guru Nanak Dev has taught us the lessons of simplicity, humility, compassion and service. That is a very good guidance. He said that I am very happy today that I have got the opportunity to see the Guru. I am overwhelmed by the love and blessings of all the devotees after coming here. On his return, the Governor also bowed his head at Ghangaria Gurudwara.
The Governor praised the infrastructure development works
Praising the infrastructure development works done in Hemkund, the Governor said that the footpath and helipad have been built very well for the convenience of the pilgrims coming to Hemkund. He thanked Prime Minister Modi for laying the foundation stone for the construction of ropeway in Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib. The Governor said that with the construction of ropeway, the journey to Hemkund will be very pleasant in the coming days.
