Uttarakhand: Canter stuck in debris near Quarab bridge, traffic closed on Almora-Haldwani highway

A canter got stuck in the debris near Quarab bridge on Almora-Haldwani highway. Due to which the traffic on the highway has been halted for the last nine hours. Hundreds of vehicles are stranded on the highway.

Canter stuck in debris near Quarab bridge

Debris is continuously coming from the hill near Quarab bridge on Almora-Haldwani highway. It is being told that a canter going from Almora to Haldwani in the early hours of Tuesday got stuck in the debris. Somehow the driver saved his life by jumping.

Traffic closed on Almora-Haldwani highway

Traffic on the highway has been blocked due to the canter getting stuck. Due to which there is a long rally of vehicles on the highway. Efforts are being made to remove the canter with the help of JCB. Passengers are facing trouble due to the highway being closed for the last nine hours.
