Uttarakhand: CM Dhami gave a gift to Kedarghati, released funds for reconstruction work
The government has released an amount of Rs 4,836.63 lakh for repair and reconstruction works of the Kedarnath footpath, road and other places due to heavy rains in Kedarghati on July 31. In this, 29 action plans of Public Works Department and 12 action plans of Irrigation Department have been approved.

Let us tell you that since the heavy rains, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is constantly taking updates on the matter. He has also given the responsibility of monitoring to the Disaster Secretary including Garhwal Commissioner. Under the leadership of Rudraprayag District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar, the Public Works Department and Irrigation Department are continuously doing disaster protection and restoration work amidst adverse conditions.
The footpath was damaged due to heavy rains
Due to heavy rains, the Kedarnath road and footpath were damaged at many places. The footpath was damaged at 29 places, while the road was also washed out. Security walls were also damaged at many places due to the velocity of Mandakini and Son rivers. 41 proposals were sent from the district level for security works and restoration works.
Many action plans got approval
After the approval of the Chief Minister, 29 action plans of the Public Works Department costing 1,934.86 lakhs and 12 action plans of the Irrigation Department costing 2,901.77 lakhs have been approved. On Monday, both the departments have released 1,472.21 lakhs for the Public Works Department and 1,197.51 lakhs for the Irrigation Department.
