Uttarakhand: 24 years of the establishment of the state will be completed on 9 November, this time Rajatotsav will be started on this occasion

In line with the instructions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister to organize the State Foundation Day, which is to be celebrated this year as the completion of 24 years of the establishment of the state of Uttarakhand and the beginning of the 25th Silver Jubilee, in a grand manner, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi reviewed the preparations for the State Foundation Day with all the officers in the Secretariat.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi directed that in accordance with the vision of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, this year the State Foundation Day is to be organized in a particularly grand manner. She said that because this year 24 years of the establishment of the state of Uttarakhand will be completed and the 25th Silver Jubilee will begin, it has special significance for the people of the state. This year, the State Foundation Day will also mark the beginning of the “Devbhoomi Silver Festival” to be celebrated throughout the year from 9 November 2024 to 9 November 2025 next year. This year, the State Foundation Day is proposed to be organized for a week starting from 6th November, which is proposed to be organized with the inauguration of Uttarakhand Sadan in New Delhi, with the participation of officers, personnel and migrants of Uttarakhand origin working in various fields living in Delhi. In the next sequence, various programs like organizing Pravasi Uttarakhand Sammelan, grand sports and cultural programs, organizing special celebrations on the theme of women empowerment, organizing multipurpose camps for the needy, organizing health check-up camps in slums, special programs for the disabled, organizing various honor and award distribution programs, glorious stories of state agitators and martyrs will be organized.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has given instructions to organize programs at school and college level on the achievements and development possibilities of the state in 24 years and ensure the participation of youth in it. She has given instructions to ensure the participation of all sections of the state, especially women, school children and youth, in the Devbhoomi Rajatotsav organized throughout the year. The Chief Secretary has also given instructions for special preparations to organize the State Foundation Day with grandeur at the divisional level and district level.

Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu, Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar, Secretaries of all departments, Additional Secretaries, District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
