Uttarakhand: Dhami government’s gift to hockey players, Sports Minister inaugurated the hockey ground

The Dhami government has given a big gift to the hockey players. Sports Minister Rekha Arya reached the Pavilion Ground in Dehradun on Wednesday and inaugurated the ‘5 Side Open Hockey Astroturf’.

Addressing the players, the Sports Minister said that we are happy that we are dedicating this ground to the players of the state before the National Games. In the camps to be held for the 38th National Games, the players will take advantage of the national level facilities here and develop their sports skills and win medals for the state. The minister said that the construction of this turf will not only facilitate the players of the state to practice and play matches, but a new batch of brilliant players will also be prepared.
Along with Devbhoomi, Uttarakhand will be known as the land of sports
Encouraging the players of the state, the minister said that the young players of the state should work hard to hone their talent and our government is standing with them at every level to support them. The minister said that in the past years, the sports format of Uttarakhand has changed in such a way that Uttarakhand is now moving towards being called a sports land along with Devbhoomi. It is the result of the thinking and policy of our government that today we are going to organize the 38th National Games.
Match between Sports College and Police Hockey Team
After the inauguration of the 5 side open hockey astroturf ground, a friendly match was also played between Maharana Pratap Sports College and Uttarakhand Police Hockey Team. The players of both the teams performed brilliantly and displayed their best game. Sports Minister Rekha Arya met the players and encouraged them. Along with this, she wished the players a successful future.
