Uttarakhand / Dehradun: The body of a young man was found in suspicious condition in the Song River, police started investigation

Police have recovered the body of a young man from the banks of the Song river in Maldevta area. The young man is said to be a resident of Nehru Colony. Police have taken the body of the deceased into custody and started investigating the case.

According to the information received from the police, they received information on Wednesday morning that the body of a young man was lying in the canal coming from the Song river. As soon as the information was received, the police immediately reached the spot. Police took the body of the young man into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Police tried to identify the young man. Initially, the young man could not be identified.

The young man’s parents had already died

During the investigation, the police found a scooter at some distance from the spot. The police identified the young man from its number. The deceased was identified as Shashank (29) son of Anil Gairola, resident of Ajabpur Kalan. When the police investigated the case, it was found that Shashank lived alone in the house. The young man’s parents had died some time ago. Apart from this, there is an elder sister who is married.

Police investigating

Shashank’s father was retired from the Water Institute. It is being told that this Shashank had left home for the gym on Tuesday evening. The young man came to Maldevta from the gym at around quarter to nine. At present, the police is investigating the cause of the young man’s death, whether the young man died due to slipping or someone murdered him.
