Preparations for census in full swing in Uttarakhand, instructions given to officials to be ready

After the census in the year 2011 in the country, the census was to be conducted in the year 2021, but due to the global pandemic corona infection, the census could not be done. In such a situation, now the Government of India is busy preparing for the census in the country. It is expected that soon the green signal can be given by the Government of India for conducting the census. Due to which preparations related to the census have also started in Uttarakhand.

Instructions to officials to be ready for the census

Actually, today i.e. on October 24, Census Minister Premchand Agarwal held a meeting with the departmental officials. During the meeting, he instructed the officials to be ready. Minister Agarwal said that indications of census can be received from the central government at any time. For which the department has to be ready. In such a situation, after the meeting, instructions have been given to the departmental officials to complete all their preparations related to the census.

Census stopped due to corona infection in the year 2021

He said that the census could not be done in the year 2021 due to corona infection, but orders for census can be received in the coming time. Minister Agrawal said that during the meeting, it was also discussed with the officials to prepare a framework of how the census is to be conducted.

Census will be done in two ways

Census Minister Premchand Agrawal said that the census has been done in two ways, in which the condition of the houses and their counting is done in the first round. Whereas, in the second round, the individuals are counted. He said that as soon as the orders are received from the Center, the department will become active for the census.
