Uttarakhand: Chief Secretary Radha Raturi directed to take action to make Bridkul the nodal agency of the state government for ropeway development

Considering the immense importance of ropeway development in Uttarakhand, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi held a detailed discussion with the Public Works Department, Tourism Department, Drinking Water, Irrigation and BRIDCUL in a meeting held at the Secretariat regarding determining the only nodal agency of the state government for ropeway development. The Chief Secretary has directed the concerned officials to take immediate necessary action to declare BRIDCUL as a specialist agency for the complete development of ropeway infrastructure, consultancy, technical and other related services in the state. In this regard, he has directed for further action by taking the consent of all the concerned departments and stakeholders.

The Chief Secretary said that BRIDCUL has expertise, experience and adequate human resources in ropeway and other construction works in the state. The experience and expertise of BRIDCUL should be taken advantage of in ropeway development. He said that this will ensure rapid progress in the ropeway development projects.

Secretary Sachin Kurve, Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Dhiraj Garbyal and officials of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
