Uttarakhand: Big accident in Lohaghat, Max vehicle overturned on the road after hitting a hill, one dead, 11 injured

A big accident happened in Lohaghat on the second day of Diwali. On Saturday morning, a Max vehicle lost control near Devkhura and hit a hill and overturned. One person died in the accident. While 11 people are said to be injured.

The accident is said to have happened on Saturday morning at 11:30. According to the information received from the correspondent, the Max vehicle coming from Pati towards Lohaghat lost control near Devkhura in Lohaghat and hit a hill and overturned. Maheshram (55) son of Moti Ram, resident of Bhumadi, died in the accident. While 11 people are said to be injured. Out of which the driver Pankaj son of Prakash, resident of Karauli, remains critical.
Seriously injured were referred to higher center
There was a lot of shouting on the spot after seeing the accident. Hearing which the people nearby reached the spot. Local people took out all the injured from the vehicle and with the help of private vehicles and ambulances, all the injured were taken to the sub-district hospital of Lohaghat. Doctor Azim told that Mahesh Ram had died before reaching the hospital. While the condition of driver Pankaj is critical. He has been referred to the district hospital. Along with this, two women injured in the accident have also been referred to Champawat.
Investigation of the causes of the accident continues
As soon as the information was received, Lohaghat’s in-charge police station chief Chetan Rawat reached the hospital to know the condition of the injured. Giving information, the police station in-charge said that during the accident, there were 12 people in the vehicle. Who were coming from Pati towards Lohaghat. During this, the vehicle went out of control in Devkhura and hit the hill and overturned. According to Rawat, the body of the deceased has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. The causes of the accident are being investigated.

According to the information, the deceased Mahesh Ram (55) was unwell. His son and wife were bringing him to the hospital for treatment. The injured have been identified as Pankaj Kumar (driver), Maheshwari Devi (55), Munni Devi (52), Sunder Ram (59), Kavita Devi (33), Savitri Devi (50), Rekha Devi (31), Sanjay Kumar (31), Mudit Kumar (7), Sanjay Kumar (37), Manoj (34).
