Uttarakhand: Section 163 was removed from Gachar and Karnaprayag, it was imposed after communal riots

Section 163 has been removed from Gachar and Karnaprayag. On October 15, there was a dispute between two communities in Gauchar. The dispute increased so much that it reached the point of fighting. After which people of one community accused the other community of beating a youth. Angered by this, people even closed the market. Seeing the situation deteriorating, the administration had imposed section 163 here.

Now the atmosphere is calm

Giving information about section 163 imposed in Gauchar and Karnaprayag, SDM Santosh Kumar Pandey said that section 163 was imposed in Gauchar and Karnaprayag till 10 November. Which was removed by the police on Thursday. SDM said that now the atmosphere is calm in Gauchar and Karnaprayag.
