Uttarakhand: After the defeat of Congress in Kedarnath by-election, Harish Rawat made serious allegations against BJP, said- victory was due to power, liquor and money power
BJP candidate Asha Nautiyal has won the by-election held on Kedarnath assembly seat. Whereas, Congress candidate Manoj Rawat has faced defeat. Congress leader Harish Rawat has termed this defeat as worrisome. He termed the result of Kedarnath assembly by-election as worrisome and levelled many allegations against BJP. He termed this victory of BJP as the victory of power, liquor and money power and called it the defeat of Uttarakhand.
Harda’s serious allegation on BJP
In Almora, former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat lashed out at BJP on the pretext of Kedarnath by-election. He accused BJP of distributing liquor and money. Harish Rawat said that liquor and money power have won in the Kedarnath by-election. Whereas, Uttarakhand has lost. He said that Congress is behind, this is not a matter of concern only for Congress. Those who talk about the mountain or the Kedarnath section, this is a matter of concern for all of them.
Manoj Rawat described as a leader who raises the voice of Uttarakhand
Harish Rawat described Congress candidate from Kedarnath Manoj Rawat as a leader who raises the voice of Uttarakhand. He also said that in my view Manoj Rawat is a suitable public representative for the things for which Uttarakhand is fighting and raising its voice even today. BJP’s victory is a matter of concern for everyone.
By-election held on Kedarnath seat
It is worth noting that Kedarnath assembly seat was vacated due to the death of BJP MLA Shailarani Rawat. By-election was held on which. Under which voting took place on 20 November and counting of votes took place on 23 November. In which BJP candidate Asha Nautiyal won. Asha Nautiyal defeated her rival Congress candidate Manoj Rawat by 5,622 votes.
