Uttarakhand: Roadways bus failed on the way, youth who reached for recruitment rally got stuck for two hours
The bus of Pithoragarh depot of Transport Corporation, which was going to Tanakpur carrying youth from Pithoragarh Army Recruitment Rally, suddenly broke down near Bantoli on Monday evening. Due to the breakdown of the bus, more than 40 youth were stranded on the national highway for about 2 hours and the roadways management of Pithoragarh depot did not even take care of the youth.

Youths remained stranded on the way for two hours. After two hours, Bantoli village head Narayan Singh Fartyal reached the spot. When he asked the youth about the problem, the youth said that the bus had broken down. The problem of the youth was brought to the notice of SDM Lohaghat Rinku Bisht by the village head.
SDM Lohaghat Rinku Bisht took immediate cognizance of the matter and directed AGM Lohaghat Dhirendra Verma to immediately arrange a bus for the youth and send them to Tanakpur. On the instructions of SDM Rinku Bisht, AGM Verma immediately arranged a bus and all the youth were sent to Tanakpur.

The youth stranded on the highway for 2 hours heaved a sigh of relief after getting another bus. All the youth and village head Narayan Fartyal thanked SDM Lohaghat Rinku Bisht and AGM Dhirendra Verma for solving the problem. Village head Fartyal said that the driver of the bus of Pithoragarh depot did not help the youth. On the contrary, the youth and he were treated rudely. He has demanded action against the driver from the roadways management.
