Demand to make senior professor VC
It is worth noting that the tenure of Central Garhwal University Vice Chancellor Prof. Annapurna Nautiyal has ended on 31 October. Since then, there has been no permanent appointment on the post of Vice Chancellor. Due to which the work in the university is getting affected. The Teaching Association has written a letter to the Central Education Ministry demanding the appointment of a senior professor of the university on the post of Vice Chancellor.
Professor RS Fartyal, Secretary of the Teaching Association of Garhwal University, said that the academic work system in the university has come to a standstill for the last one month. People had to go abroad for academic research on many subjects. But due to the absence of a Vice Chancellor, research work is also getting affected.
