Uttarakhand: Dhami government became rich, so far in the current financial year, revenue of 650 crores has been received from mining

As a result of the efforts being made by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to increase the revenue and the decisions taken in this regard, Rs. 650 crore revenue has been received in the current financial year 2024-25 (from April to November).

In the financial year 2024-25, 325.19 crore more was received as compared to the total revenue of Rs. 324.81 crore received in the first eight months of last year 2023-24, which is almost 100 percent more than last year.

In the year 2022-23, a total revenue target of Rs 875 crore was set by the state government for the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Uttarakhand, against which the Directorate of Geology and Mining earned a revenue of Rs 472.25 crore and in the year 2023-24, a total target of Rs 875.00 crore was set by the state government for the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Uttarakhand Dehradun, against which a total revenue of Rs 645.42 crore was earned by the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Uttarakhand, which is Rs 173.17 crore i.e. about 40 percent more than last year.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Geology and Mining Department has been working with complete transparency in the last three years. For revenue collection, the State Government has made simplification in Uttarakhand Sub Mineral Avoidance Rules, Uttarakhand Stone Crusher Policy, Uttarakhand Mineral (Prevention of Illegal Mining, Transportation and Storage) Rules, new mineral lots are identified through e-tender cum e-auction and they are allotted through e-tender, continuous and effective action is taken by the enforcement team constituted at the Directorate level for effective prevention of illegal mining, transportation and storage, e-Ravanna portal is upgraded by monitoring it from time to time at the headquarters level, four districts namely Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital are to be given the lease amount / inevitable rent etc. to the company allotted through tender.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, approval has been given to install a total of 45 mine check gates to make the mining work more transparent, robust and to develop modern Mining digital Transformation and Surveillance System (MDTSS) for effective prevention of illegal mining / illegal transportation and increase in revenue, in which MoU has been signed with ITI Ltd. and the process of implementation of the scheme is in progress. Along with this, the process is in progress to keep the Ravana forms in digital form.
