The first day’s play of the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia has been cancelled due to rain. It rained intermittently in Brisbane on Saturday. Not a single ball could be bowled in the last two sessions of the day.
Before the rain started, Australia had scored 28 runs without any loss. Nathan McSweeney and Usman Khawaja returned unbeaten. The Indian team won the toss and chose to bowl at The Gaba Stadium. On Sunday, the second day’s play will start half an hour earlier at 5:20 am.
The 5-match series is tied at 1-1. India won the first match by 295 runs and Australia won the second match by 10 wickets.
