Uttarakhand: Political battle erupts over civic elections, Karan Mahara accuses of tampering with roster

After the OBC reservation ordinance was passed from the Uttarakhand Raj Bhavan, it is expected that the civic elections will be held soon in the state. Congress state president Karan Mahara said that he has little hope of the civic elections being held soon. He says that on one hand there may be snowfall in the mountainous regions, while on the other hand the government can make an excuse of the board exams. He says that the government has lied many times about the civic elections. In such a situation, the government cannot be trusted.

The Congress state president, who returned from the Delhi tour, while giving his reaction on the civic elections, said that the minister has lied three times about holding the civic elections. Something else is being said by the minister and something else is being presented in the affidavit in the court. Therefore, the government cannot be trusted at all. During this, he has also accused the government of tampering with the roster. He said that the BJP has done the work of badly damaging the roster system that used to run earlier.

Karan Mahara said that earlier there used to be a roster system, under which things used to be reserved and unreserved alternately, but the BJP is disturbing the roster system by making minor changes in the seats every time. The government reserves and unreserve seats as per its convenience. In such a situation, the court should take suo motu cognizance of this.
