Craze for Uttarakhand winter Chardham Yatra, more than 3000 devotees performed puja in a week

The Badri-Kedar Temple Committee has called upon the pilgrims to participate in the winter worships of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham. The Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Chardham winter yatra on December 8 from Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath, the winter seat of Kedarnath Dham. Since then, pilgrims are reaching the winter worship sites for darshan. Enthusiasm is increasing among the pilgrims about the winter journey.

Let us tell you that after the closure of the doors of Kedarnath Dham, the Panchmukhi Doli of Lord Kedarnath reaches Panch Kedar Gaddisthal Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath. The Doli of the second Kedar Madmaheshwar also reaches Omkareshwar Temple on winter stay and winter worships are performed in Omkareshwar Temple.

Devotees coming from the country and abroad are getting darshan of the Panchmukhi idol of Lord Kedarnath in Omkareshwar Temple. Apart from this, the Doli of the third Kedar Baba Tungnath is seated in the winter seat Marketeshwar Temple Makkumath, where pilgrims are earning the virtue of winter pilgrimage darshan.

Similarly, after the doors of Lord Badrivishal are closed, Shri Uddhav Ji and Shri Kuber Ji stay in Yoga Badri Pandukeshwar and the holy seat of Adi Guru Shankaracharya Ji reaches Shri Nrisinh Temple Joshimath. The winter worships of Lord Badrivishal are performed in Shri Yoga Badri Pandukeshwar and Shri Nrisinh Temple Joshimath.

BKTC Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal said that in line with the instructions of the Chief Minister, the temple committee has made efforts to encourage the winter pilgrimage. He requested the pilgrims to reach the winter worship places in maximum numbers and get the privilege of participating in the winter worships of Lord Badri Vishal and Lord Kedarnath.

He said that till now more than three thousand pilgrims have participated in the winter pujas, out of which 2230 pilgrims have earned virtue by reaching Panchkedar Gaddi Sthal Omkareshwar Temple, 65 pilgrims Yogabadri Pandukeshwar, 1069 pilgrims have earned virtue by reaching Nrisinha Temple Joshimath.
