Rekha Arya said that solar-powered heating structures will be used at most sports venues, which will reduce dependence on non-renewable energy.

The medals and certificates given to the players are also made from environmentally friendly and biodegradable material. E-waste and wood waste have been used in the manufacture of trophies, which will promote environmental responsibility. Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that cloth will be used instead of plastic in the branding of the event, so that plastic waste can be reduced. Electric vehicles will be used to transport players and officials at sports venues.
