Yogasana event of National Games started in Almora, Sports Minister inaugurated it, read details in one click

Uttarakhand has got the opportunity to host the National Games. The cultural city of Almora is hosting the Yogasana competition, an event of this national game. On Friday, the Yogasana competition was inaugurated by Sports Minister Rekha Arya in Almora. During this, 171 Yogasana players from 22 states of the country have reached to participate.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the Yogasana competition at Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Stadium in Almora under the 38th National Games, the state’s cabinet minister Rekha Arya appealed to the players from all over the country to also get acquainted with the cultural and religious heritage of Almora. Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that all the players should visit the famous temple Jageshwar Dham here, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi also went. Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that the officials should make some team visit this temple every day. She also appealed to the players to visit the temple of Goljyu Devta.
The Sports Minister said that it is a matter of pride for the cultural city that the Yogasana competition is being held in Almora. The Sports Minister said that Uttarakhand is the birthplace of Yogasana, so we have some extra expectations from our state’s team in Yogasana. He said that it is a matter of joy that Almora is hosting Yogasana today. Yogasana is an important event of the National Games. Its beginning from the cultural city of Almora, which is a hilly district, is a good sign for the times to come. He said that today players from 22 states are participating in it in Almora. They have also got an opportunity to connect with this cultural city.
Competitions will be completed in five phases
The Yogasana competition will run from January 31 to February 4. In which 171 players from 22 states are participating. The competition will be held in five categories. Which includes Traditional Yogasana, Artistic Yogasana Single, Artistic Pair, Rhythmic Pair and Artistic Group. A total of 66 medals will be given in all these categories. Which includes 22 gold, 22 silver and 22 bronze medals.
