Uttarakhand: Artists of “Cultural Heritage and Adventure Sports” tableau met CM Dhami

After Uttarakhand’s “Cultural Heritage and Adventure Sports” tableau got third place among the tableaux of various states on Republic Day, Director General Information Mr. Banshidhar Tiwari and Team Leader/Joint Director Information Mr. K.S. Chauhan along with the artists of the tableau met Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office located at Uttarakhand Niwas in New Delhi.

The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of honor for the state that Uttarakhand’s “Cultural Heritage and Adventure Sports” tableau got the third prize. He announced to provide Rs 50,000 each to all the 16 artists involved in the tableau under the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund. The Chief Minister said that with Uttarakhand’s tableau getting third place on the occasion of Republic Day on the choice of the people, the rich folk culture and religious heritage of the state is getting a unique identity in the country and abroad. As per the Chief Minister’s instructions, the State Government had decided to display it as a tableau in the Republic Day parade to promote cultural heritage and to give national recognition to adventure sports. The decisions of the Chief Minister are emphasizing on increasing the infrastructure facilities for adventure sports.

It is noteworthy that the artists of the tableau of Uttarakhand state got the second prize in the cultural program at the National Stadium Camp in New Delhi and the Uttarakhand tableau based on “Cultural Heritage and Adventure Sports” in the Republic Day Parade on the Path of Duty also got the third place in the country on the basis of people’s choice.

On this occasion, tableau artists Suresh Rajan, Tarun Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Ravindra Kumar, Abhishek Pandey, Aman Vishwakarma, Shubham Beri, Rekha Poona, Kamala Pant, Chandradeep Rajan, Priyanka Arya Sahi, Anjali Arya, Rashmi Pant, Nikita Arya, Sakshi Bohra were present.
