Uttarakhand: BJP called the Union Budget historic, Mahendra Bhatt praised it profusely and listed its merits

BJP has called the Union Budget a historic budget that will bring smiles on the face of the common man. Rajya Sabha MP and state president Mahendra Bhatt said that tax exemption given to 80 percent of the people including the working middle class and priority given to tourism and agriculture sector will prove to be important in the development of Uttarakhand. If we look at Uttarakhand, the number of working and middle class people in the state is very high. In such a situation, Modi government’s income tax exemption on average income of up to Rs 1 lakh per month will save them up to Rs 80 thousand per year.

By giving priority to agriculture, the main engine of development in the Union Budget, the farmers of the state will also get a big benefit. 1.7 crore farmers will be benefited by the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana. In this, the systems and planning structure related to agriculture will be strengthened in 100 districts. Increasing the loan limit in Kisan Credit Card to 5 lakh will help farmers to improve their agricultural structure. Increasing the loan given to MSME with guarantee from Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore will be beneficial for a newly created industrial state like Uttarakhand. The government’s decision to provide UPI linked credit card with a limit of Rs 30,000 under PM Swanidhi will improve employment opportunities in a small state like ours.

He hoped that the cities of the state will be developed with the Urban Challenge Fund of Rs 1 lakh crore allocated as a development centre. The revised Udaan scheme will increase regional connectivity to 120 new destinations. The places in the state will also be included in it. Gyan Bharat Mission for survey and preservation of manuscripts will prove to be important for Devbhoomi.

Similarly, 36 life-saving medicines for the treatment of cancer, rare diseases and other serious chronic diseases have been exempted from basic customs duty. Our state, projected as a blue state, is going to get the benefit of reducing customs duty on frozen fish paste from 30 percent to 5 percent. A new scheme was launched for five lakh women first-time entrepreneurs of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. He said, the government has focused on tourism to give impetus to the campaign for self-reliant India. In which 50 tourist hotels will be built, the hotels that will be built there will be given various benefits including infrastructure. Home stays are being linked to Mudra loans. Bhatt said that the development measures proposed in this budget have been prepared keeping in mind the poor, youth, farmers and women.
