Newly elected Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal has taken charge in Dehradun. On this occasion, he said that all the promises made in the Sankalp Patra will be fulfilled. He talked about working towards the problems of the city and their resolution. He said that parks will be beautified to make Green Doon. In view of public safety, CCTV cameras will be installed in large numbers. Also, talks will be held with the officials regarding the problem of drainage.
Mayor said work will be done on the problem of waterlogging
He told that 73 such places have been identified, where there is a problem of waterlogging, work will be started soon regarding this. He also told that making a cycling track in the city will also be our objective.
A plan has been made to work on jam and parking problems
Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal said that to solve the problems of the people, camps will be set up among the public and regional problems will be heard. Parking space is being searched to deal with the parking problem in the city. In view of the traffic jam situation in the city, some decision will be taken soon after talking to the traffic police officials, so that the general public can get relief from the traffic jam in the city.
Promise to install CCTV in Dehradun city
The newly elected mayor said that CCTV cameras will be installed in the entire city of Dehradun. Efforts will be made to give the city a safe environment by monitoring CCTV in all parks and public places.
Talked about garbage disposal
On the non-disposal of garbage in Sheeshambada, the mayor said that it will be inspected soon and after talking to the local people including the MLA, it will also be disposed of soon.
Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal says that we take the name of Dehradun with great respect and definitely work will be done to improve the image of the Municipal Corporation, for which advice will be taken from the general public by going among them.
