Politics of ‘Smartmeter’! Politics intensifies in Uttarakhand, Congress surrounds Dhami government

There is a lot of politics going on in the state on the issue of smart electricity meters. Recently, Congress MLA from Kichha Tilak Raj Behad expressed his anger by breaking the smart meter, and now Congress state president Karan Mahara has called smart electricity meters as oppressors of the poor.
Congress’s attack on smart meter
Mahara alleged that the work of installing smart meters in entire Uttarakhand has been given to a company of a particular industrial house, smart electricity meters are being installed in the state with the intention of benefiting this industrial house. He said that electronic meters were installed in the state a few years ago. By removing these electronic meters, smart prepaid electricity meters are being installed once again.
Phone recharge is over, talk is over, this will be the condition of smart meter
Congress state president Karan Mahara said that due to this decision of the government, there will always be a lack of coordination between the department and the common people. Mahara gave an example-
At least 3 months of the year, the farmers here live in great difficulties. When he spends money on seeds, fertilizers, labour for weeding etc., at that time the farmer gets into a very tight situation. It is often seen that the farmer was not able to pay his electricity bills for two months on time. But under the continuous process, the farmer used to pay his electricity bills for 3 months together. Now the smart meter will be such, just like the prepaid voucher in the mobile ends and the conversation ends.
Karan Mahara says that in the coming time, people are going to face a big problem. He says that lower upper and middle class people live in India, we will have to take everyone along. Poor people also live in India, the smart meter will work to break their back.
