Uttarakhand: Land law got approval from Dhami cabinet, read what changes will be made

Big news is coming out from Uttarakhand today. The Dhami cabinet has approved the land law. Due to which it will now be difficult for outsiders to buy land in the state. The Dhami government has repealed all the provisions of the previous Trivendra Rawat government of 2018.

Land law approved by Dhami cabinet

The Dhami cabinet has approved the land law. Outsiders will not be able to buy horticulture and agricultural land in 11 districts except Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts. There will be consolidation and settlement in all the hill districts, which will reduce land disputes. The government has limited the powers of the DM. Now the DM will not have the right to give permission for land purchase.

DM will have to give regular report

Let us tell you that an online portal will be created for land purchase in Uttarakhand. Full account will be kept of even an inch of land purchase by people outside the state for hotel business. Outsiders will have to give affidavit while buying land. All DMs will have to give regular reports of land purchases to the Revenue Council and the government.

The land of those who violate the rules will be under the government

Along with this, the land within the municipal limits can be used only according to the prescribed land use. If the land is used against the rules, then that land will come under the government. Along with this, a person from outside the state will be able to buy 250 square meters of land for his family to live in only once in his life.

What will be the effect of the new law?

The land law will stop indiscriminate land purchase by outsiders in Uttarakhand. Along with this, there will be better management of land in hilly areas, which will benefit the residents of the state more. There will be control on the unnatural increase in land prices and the native residents of the state will be able to buy land easily. The government will get more control over land purchase and sale, which will stop irregularities.
