Villagers angry over non-widening of roads in Doiwala area blocked Dudhli-Dehradun road on Tuesday. The protesters are demanding widening of Dehradun bypass road which is pending for years.
Villagers angry over non-widening of roads
Villagers say that road widening has been announced by three chief ministers so far, despite this, the work of widening 7 km of roads has not started yet. Local people and passersby are facing huge difficulties due to the narrow condition of the road.
Angry people warned the government
On receiving information about the protest of the villagers, heavy police force has been deployed on the spot, so that law and order is maintained. The protesters have demanded the administration to start the road widening work as soon as possible, the villagers say that if the government does not take their demands seriously then they will be forced to launch a fierce agitation.
