Swati Maliwal wrote a letter to Arvind Kejriwal

In her letter, Swati has demanded Arvind Kejriwal to make an MLA from the Dalit community the Leader of Opposition. She gave this information on the social media platform X. She wrote, “Today I have written a letter to Arvind Kejriwal to make an MLA from the Dalit community the Leader of Opposition in Delhi.

3 years ago, Arvind Kejriwal had promised in Punjab that we will make a Dalit Deputy Chief Minister, but that promise has not been fulfilled till date. I hope this time he will pay true tribute to Babasaheb Ambedkar by making a Dalit MLA from Delhi LOP.” ‘…Make him the leader of the opposition’- Swati Maliwal

Swati Maliwal further writes, “Fulfill your promise of appointing a Dalit MLA as the Leader of Opposition in Delhi. Arvind ji, I hope you are well. After the results of the Delhi elections, you must be paying attention to your health and peace of mind. Through this letter, I want to place an important demand before you. You will remember that during the Punjab elections in 2022, you had promised that after winning, we will make a Dalit Deputy Chief Minister, but it is very sad that even after 3 years this promise has not been fulfilled.”

She further wrote, “Now, when the time has come to appoint a Leader of Opposition in Delhi, I request you to make an MLA from the Dalit community of the party from Delhi the Leader of Opposition of Delhi. Making a Dalit MLA the Leader of Opposition will not be just a political decision, but it will be a strong step towards fulfilling our basic principles.”

She wrote, “I urge you to keep your promise this time and prove that you do not just talk, but also do politics of equality and justice in reality. Avoid repeating the broken promises made to Punjab and take this historic decision.” It is to be noted that during the Delhi Assembly elections, Swati Maliwal had targeted Arvind Kejriwal on many issues.
