BJP MLA raised question on power generation

During the proceedings of the House, Congress demanded a discussion on corruption under Rule 310. After which Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri accepted the discussion under Rule 58. BJP’s Doiwala MLA Brij Bhushan Gairola raised a question in the assembly and said how much power is being produced from Pirol.

Five projects were going on in Uttarakhand to generate electricity

In response, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Agarwal informed that six projects were started in the state to generate electricity from sawdust. Five of these projects have been closed and one is on the verge of closure. He said that the government is now buying sawdust at Rs 10 per kg instead of Rs 3 per kg.

Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi surrounded in the House

Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi could not clarify the difference between natural and traditional farming in the assembly. Congress MLA Pritam Singh asked in which districts natural farming is being done. Also, how much production has been done so far. The minister said that farming is being done in one thousand acres in Pauri, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Chamoli. But both the opposition and the ruling party did not seem satisfied with his answer. Agriculture Secretary and Additional Secretary demanded to postpone the question. After which the Speaker postponed the question.
