Uttarakhand: Haridwar police encounter with a criminal, policemen have been attacked in the past

Haridwar police had an encounter with a miscreant during checking late at night. In which the accused got shot in the leg. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Haridwar police’s encounter with miscreant

According to the police, during checking of New Shivalik Nagar Military Camp late at night, the police tried to stop a young man riding a scooty. Seeing the police, the miscreant opened fire and tried to escape from the spot. In the retaliatory firing, the miscreant got shot in the leg.

Injured miscreant admitted to hospital

The injured miscreant has been admitted to a government hospital for treatment. Where he is undergoing treatment. As soon as the information of the incident was received, Haridwar SSP Pramod Singh Dobal reached the spot with senior officials. The SSP took information about the incident from the police officials.

The miscreant has a reward of 50 thousand

The accused has been identified as Sabir son Arif resident of Ahbab Nagar Ranipur. According to SSP Pramod Singh Dobal, the accused has a reward of 50 thousand. The miscreant had escaped after attacking the policemen late at night in October 2024. Since then, the police were raiding in search of the accused.
