Uttarakhand: Pantnagar: Truck lost control and entered into roadside houses, causing commotion, driver absconded
A big accident happened in Pantnagar last night. A truck went out of control near Shantipuri Gate and rammed into the houses built on the roadside. During the accident, there was a lot of shouting and screaming on the spot. After which the driver left the vehicle on the spot and fled.

The incident happened around 1 o’clock on Monday night. According to the information, the truck was loaded with bagasse, which was going towards Lalkuan. Near Shantipuri Gate, the truck went out of control and collided with the wall of Tara Singh’s house. Due to which the household goods got damaged. Apart from this, the truck also collided with Pradeep Singh’s house located next to Tara Singh’s house, causing cracks in the walls.
Truck driver absconded after the accident
The good thing was that the people present in the house narrowly escaped. After the accident, the truck driver fled from the spot. According to the information, an 11 thousand line electricity pole also got damaged and broke due to the truck hitting it. After which the power supply got disrupted. The reason for the accident is said to be the truck driver dozing off.
