Uttarakhand / Haridwar: Ankit murder case accused has an encounter with police, miscreant injured in retaliatory firing

Haridwar police had an encounter with the miscreant late at night. In the retaliatory firing, the accused got shot in the leg. After which the accused has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Let us tell you that the accused had killed a youth named Ankit in Mangalore area on 19 February.

Ankit murder accused’s encounter with police

According to the police, the miscreant opened fire on the police after seeing the police checking on the canal track ahead of Tashipur bridge under Kotwali Mangalore area. The miscreant got injured in the retaliatory firing by the police. The miscreant has been identified as Rohit, a resident of Kurudi Mangalore. Let us tell you that the accused had taken a contract of Rs 4 lakh to kill a youth named Ankit in Mangalore area on 19 February.

Police has already arrested other accused

The accused along with his accomplices Vicky alias Vikas, Deepanshu, Rihan alias Aman killed Ankit on 19 February. Police has already arrested other accused in the entire case. The police have recovered a country-made pistol and live cartridges from the injured accused. Rohit has previously committed robbery along with his other associates. The accused was released from jail on bail a few days ago.
