Uttarakhand: Strict action in the firing case on MLA Umesh Kumar’s office, SSI line present and inspector suspended

Haridwar SSP has taken strict action in the firing case at the camp office of Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar in Roorkee, Haridwar. SSP has taken action against SSI and a sub-inspector of Roorkee Civil Line Police Station. In fact, SSP Pramod Dobal has suspended the SSI of Roorkee Police Station and a sub-inspector for not giving timely information to the higher authorities.
Let us tell you that on the morning of 26 February, around 3 am, masked miscreants riding a bike fired at the camp office/residence of independent MLA from Khanpur, Umesh Kumar, on the Kanwar track in Roorkee. While the police had registered a case in this case, the investigation of the case was handed over to IPS Jitendra Mehra. Now another action has been taken in this case by Haridwar SSP Pramod Dobal.
In fact, he has taken a tough stand on the allegations of not reaching the spot immediately after the incident and not informing the higher authorities on time and has suspended Senior Sub Inspector Dharmendra Rathi of Roorkee Kotwali. Along with this, he has also immediately suspended Sub Inspector Rajiv Uniyal.
Let us tell you that former MLA from Khanpur Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion also fired indiscriminately at the camp office of MLA Umesh Kumar on January 26. However, Pranav Singh Champion is lodged in Roshnabad jail since then. A few days ago, due to Champion’s ill health, he was brought from jail to the district hospital for treatment.
